The Gentle Whisper

Imagine everyone speaking at the same time
Imagine everyone wants an immediate response
Imagine everyone looking up to Just One person to answer
Imagine no one paying attention to the One with the answer
Imagine the anguish of those who desperately wants to be heard;
The louder they speak, the lesser they can hear themselves
Imagine no one ready to wait quietly to hear the voice of the One they all earnestly sought
And suddenly something strange happened

A great wind tore mountains apart
They heard nothing
Rocks shattered
They heard nothing
There was an earthquake
They heard nothing
There was a fire
They heard nothing
There was a gentle whisper
But only a few heard
Because some heard their mind in the Great wind
Others were afraid to stand the earthquake and fire
