Why am I talking about laughter today? ok...during the evening service in church yesterday, there were prophesies and one of the things we were told to do was to laugh like we have received the promises of God for our lives. At first, the laughter was not real. So many people were putting up fake laughter and then gradually it became really interesting as people started laughing like Nitrous Oxide (Laughing gas) was released to the atmosphere.
Suddenly it occurred to me that this is how witches laugh when they gather (according to Nollywood). So I decided to throw the question out to people, why do witches laugh and Christians don't?
Really, the answer is not far fetched.
Witches laugh because they believe that what they have spoken will come to pass. Their faith is so strong because even before they afflict their prey they are already laughing and making fun of their target.
Also, they laugh because they know the weakness of their prey.
Why then do we as Christians that are serving the God of gods, the King of kings, the Almighty...find it difficult to laugh in all situations? It is because we do not have faith and we do not know where our strength lies.
Make it a duty to laugh at all situations, if for no other thing than the fact that clock does not stop ticking and that the difficult time will surely pass. Remember, there is joy in the morning...
From the bottom of my heart... I wish you an hilarious week
