CONVICTED OR CONDEMNED

The summary of what you are about to read is that God loves you so much whether you love Him in return by words or by deed. Continue reading if you want to hear more about the Love of God.

Today I will be sharing with us a combination of what I have leant by the grace of God through my wonderful mentors Joyce Meyer and Andrew Wommack.

We have all sinned and come short of the Glory of God (Romans 3:23) but what do you feel when you have sinned? Condemned or Convicted.

If you have given your life to Christ and you indeed have a relationship with God, you are convicted and not condemned when you sin. Joyce Meyer put it this way in her book How to Hear from God;

His conviction is intended to convince us to repent, which means to turn and go in the right direction rather than the wrong one in which we are currently going…Conviction is meant to lift us out of something, to help us move up higher in God’s will and plan for our lives. Condemnation on the other hand presses us down and puts us under a burden of guilt (John 16:7-11).

Condemnation will prevent you from enjoying the love of God. The reason why so many people are still living in poverty, depression and anxiety today is because they do not understand or know the love of God. How will you receive from God when you are too afraid to come to His presence? You may receive by chance but not the fullness of what HE actually wants to give to you. There is no more condemnation to you who are in Christ who walk after the Spirit and not after the Flesh (Romans 8:1).

Quit giving up on yourself and begin again…more consciously and carefully…work out your salvation with fear and trembling (Philippians 2:12).

Conviction means you are found guilty but it does not mean you will be condemned. God knows you are guilty but He will forgive you not because you deserved it but because He is God (Isaiah 43: 25). When I saw this scripture I was elated…so I went on my knees and told God to forgive the sins of my forefathers that has made my family suffered not because we are right but because He is God. Selah

You cannot understand all that has been said except you have a relationship with God. Having a relationship with God means you know God. Knowing God means you have had an experience with God. Having an experience with God means that there had been a time, day or year that something extra ordinary happened to you and you knew that it could have been no one else but God. Even pagans have experienced God but they could not recognize Him as God. When you recognize God as God in your life, you have a relationship with God.

You can call Him a customized name… for me God is my Father…not because it’s a lyric of a song or because Jesus called Him so but because there is never a time I tell Him… ”Father, I need to pay my bills”, “I am weak”, “I am sick”, “ I need this contract or business” that He does not use His influence to get it for me because HE is the God of the universe. He is the best Dad… My Peak Dad (I remembered Peak Milk essay competition many years ago “Why my mother is a Peak mum”). If I write an essay today on why my Dad is a Peak Dad, I will win.

God loves us more than to hold our sin against us. Make it a point of duty to tell someone that today.
God bless.
