As I switched on my phone this morning, I saw 2 (Two)
messages on my Whatsapp and one of it was a Message from a very good friend
that has become a sister and I love to
share because I know it is not just for me. Read below…
Hi dear,
After a challenging
weekend, I had to remind myself of who God is and His promises over my life.
When facing storms we
tend to focus on them rather than on Him who has the power to calm the storm-
by a simple “be still”. No drama, no construction, no whining, no gimmick but
by a simple spoken word.
I talked to Jesus
earlier today and told him I wasn’t going to cry this week. I wasn’t going to
pity myself or have a pity party.
I was thinking… my
faith and worrying levels when plotted is like an Alternating Current graph. Why
is that? Why do we worry about things worrying cannot change? The energy
worrying zaps out of us could be channeled to the promise –The Word
When we allow fear in,
it comes in with torment and starts to fight our faith. This causes panic,
doubts, restlessness, anxiety, worry and sadness. Begin to shut out those voices,
those ungodly counsels so you can hear what He has to say. Listen!
I read “we can’t worry
and pray at the same time” which balls down to focus. What has been your focus
lately ? God’s power to do the
impossible? The magnitudes of our
challenges? The impossibility of our situation? The reality of the unwanted growth? The illness eating rapidly at our bodies? The negative
doctor’s report? The impossibility of
paying debts we owe? The hurt & wounds of broken relationships? The emotional
and physical scars of abuse?
Lazarus was raised
from the dead after 4 days! Dry bones long dead lived again! A man born blind received
his sight! The Red Sea was parted for His children to pass.
If God loves you with
an everlasting love it also means He loves you far more than you can ever love
yourself.
“Ask and it will be
given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.”
Matthew 7:7
“If you, then, though
you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will
your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him? Matthew 7:11
This is just to remind
us of what God has promised us:
“I am the Lord, the
God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me? Jeremiah 32: 17&27
And Jesus said to him,
“If you can! All things are possible for one who believes.” Mark 9:23
Indeed, let no one who
waits on you be ashamed; (disappointed or disgraced) Psalms 25:3
Whatsoever you shall
ask in my name, I will do it! John 14:14
Therefore I tell you,
whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will
be yours. Mark 11: 24
David saw Goliath was
a giant but he called him an uncircumcised philistine not a massive giant. Stop
magnifying your challenges rather magnify your God.
I just arrived at a friend’s
ordination so I have to put my phone away.
I hope this encourages
you!
Have a fruitful week.
Luv always
Elo.
I love you too sis. You are the best. *Kiss *Kiss
